Cancer treatment often forces children out of school for weeks or even months, interrupting their education at one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. For many, the risk is not only illness but also losing the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream about the future.
At Bless a Child Foundation, we believe every child deserves the chance to keep learning, even in the midst of treatment. Through home schools in each of our Care Homes, we provide remedial education led by qualified teachers and supported by dedicated volunteers. Lessons are adapted to each child’s health needs and treatment schedule, creating a flexible and supportive space where learning can continue.
Beyond academic subjects, children also engage in music, arts, crafts, computer literacy, photography, and other creative activities that nurture confidence, expression, and joy. These experiences help restore a sense of normal childhood in the middle of a difficult journey.
By keeping children connected to education, we reduce learning loss, support their return to formal school, and protect their hope for the future. In a season marked by uncertainty, education becomes more than a lesson, it becomes a reminder that a child’s life, potential, and dreams still matter.
